How does the clasp to the right side of the bag work?

I love the journey mini-crossbody but am very unclear how the attachment on the right side of the bag is supposed to work. I get that there are sort of anchor points built into the strap for the clasp to hook into but that isn't what the photo looks like I'm supposed to do. It looks like the clasp is hooked into the ties between the slider options which are already tied into the clasps. Could you please explain this is me in greater detail? I've reviewed the photos and tried to do something similar but it doesn't look right. Hello? It really shouldn't be this hard. Everything else about the bag is super. I really like that I can strap the keys to my car onto the back of the back. It's much easier than digging them out when I need them. There's a spot for everything I need on a day to day basis. No more fumbling at the grocery store. If you can help me with the clasp I'd give it a 5* rating.
