Whether you’re driving your larger surfboards down to the beach or heading out for an extended surfari, our precision-engineered, 44-inch-long Rack Pads will keep them ding-free and securely fastened to the roof of your vehicle. Designed to fit on either square or rounded roof-rack crossbars, these extra-long foam pads are held in place with sturdy hook-and-loop closures that won’t slip in the stiffest of winds. Sold in sets of two, the pads are made of a UV-resistant, 600D polyester material to keep them from fading after prolonged exposure to the elements, so you can leave them attached during periods of heavy use.

Not a great fit

Doesn’t fit well over square crossbars. Needs to be zip tied to stay on; overall disappointed in this product and looking for a better solution

44” black rack pads great on Yakima Megawarrior

These long 44” rack pads fit perfectly on the Yakima Megawarrior basket cross bars on my 4Runner. Nice padding for my surfboards for local surf sessions - however, there is a fair amount of wind resistance when it’s stacked up with multiple boards. For longer highway surf trips I take the basket off and use the factory cross bars with DaKine 34” Aero rack pads which also work great. I use DaKine tie down straps to secure the boards and it has made the whole operation of getting boards on and off the truck so much simpler and easier than other rack systems I have used in the past. I loop the straps directly on the padded crossbars and it’s a snug fit and very secure. I sometimes bring the pads along in my board bag in addition to the straps when flying for a surf trip in case my car only has hard racks or no racks. Bonus is they help pad my boards from careless baggage handlers! Highly recommend these rack pads!

Nice pads but they were to long. I had to Return them
